ERURS 03 Education Seminars
ROCKERS IS ON as of Tuesday, Apr 29/08 at 8pm.
for Preventative Communication and Practical Positioning May 1 ~~ 5pm at the Rockers.
This Education Seminar has been updated as of April 26/08.
On Monday, February 25/08 we learned about a) this season’s expectations such as Safe Rugby, registration, dues ($25), b) the Benefits of the Pre-Game Chat, c) Managing the Line-Out, and d) Positioning at the RMT.
On Monday, March 17/08, we learned about a) Refereeing Positions at the Scrum, b) Personal Development Plans, c) HS Lineout key points, and d) Allocation plan for the season.
The last Winter Session was on Monday, April 7/08. This was the Safe Rugby night for referees - with a whopping 21 persons in attendance. Thank-you to all involved. For those of you who couldn’t make it, please contact me and we will do our best to get you “Safe-Rugby”ed before you step on the pitch.
On Thursday, May 1, we will have a referee training night on Preventative Communication and Practical Positioning session with three high school teams. The whole night officially starts at 5:00pm, but please come as soon as you can make it.
On Thursday, June 12, we have a special night presentation by Sports Psychologist, Danielle Black. She is coming in to present on Regaining Concentration during the game. (1.5 hours) This will start at 7:00pm and go to about 9pm.
second Thursday in July: Let’s see what we’ve missed during
the year… Specifics of this happened to me and I did this. What would you have
done … And the art of quick decision making. (1.5 hours)
