Romanized lyrics to Jia Ren Qu and English and Chinese

Cool, just found a copy of jia ren qu on web because of great website of Asphyxiated Venom, a bit of Chat-tastic info for Bai Du and voilà, I have the info to share with the world

In addition to mentioning the above websites, I would add that I am using the English lyrics off of Lyrics.com and the Chinese lyrics from Bai Du. I have prepared the romanized (pinyin) myself with the help of a fantastic Oxford C-E/E-C Dictionary. Anyway, I hope that this helps.

How do I love Zhang Yi Mou? Let me count the ways: Shanghai Triad, Raise the Red Lantern, cinematography, music and songs such as Yao a yao dao waipo qiao, and of course for introducing me to Gong Li. I myself fell in love with the movie the House of Flying Daggers only hours ago, and also learning Chinese, I decided that I MUST have this song in my repertoire! Thanks to the others for helping.

An extraordinary beauty in the North…
The most beautiful being of the world
From her first glance the city bows before her
From her second glance the empire falls into ruins
But there aren’t such an empire or a city
what we can laud more than this beauty.

Du jiao xi - songs as a learning tool

I have been studying Chinese for over three years, part-time, with a good friend J whom I was tutoring in French. Although I have an interesting beginner vocabulary set, I have decided to take a conversational course, to work on my grammar and speaking / listening. And I remember this song that J told me about, it is a really beautiful song. Du jiao xi - one person play - and I find singing in a new language really great for learning pronunciation, even if I don’t know what the words mean yet:

??? (du jiao xi)

??????? (Mei you xing xing de ye li - In a night without stars)
??????? (Wo yong lei guang xi yin ni - I use my tears to attract you)
???????? (Ji ran ai ni bu neng yan yu - Now that I can no longer say I love you)
?????? (Zhi neng wei xiao ku qi - I can only laugh and cry)
??????? (Rang wo cong ci wang le ni - Let myself forget you from now on)
