Du jiao xi – songs as a learning tool
I have been studying Chinese for over three years, part-time, with a good friend J whom I was tutoring in French. Although I have an interesting beginner vocabulary set, I have decided to take a conversational course, to work on my grammar and speaking / listening. And I remember this song that J told me about, it is a really beautiful song. Du jiao xi – one person play – and I find singing in a new language really great for learning pronunciation, even if I don’t know what the words mean yet:
??? (du jiao xi)
??????? (Mei you xing xing de ye li – In a night without stars)
??????? (Wo yong lei guang xi yin ni – I use my tears to attract you)
???????? (Ji ran ai ni bu neng yan yu – Now that I can no longer say I love you)
?????? (Zhi neng wei xiao ku qi – I can only laugh and cry)
??????? (Rang wo cong ci wang le ni – Let myself forget you from now on)
